Urquhart Castle, now in ruins, sits by Loch Ness near the village of Drumnadrochit. The current ruins date between the 13th and 16th Centuries. It was partially destroyed in 1692 to prevent it's use by Jacobite forces and since was left to decay.
Now a scheduled monument and open to the public, you can image what it was like walking halls and rooms of this striking castle, set into the stunning Loch Ness scenery in the highlands. An artistic interpretation of one of Scotlands historic buildings with mother nature controlling the rest.
